A Juvenile Get-Together organized

As a tradition, the institutions observed the birth anniversary of Lt Pandurang Sadashiv Sane, familiar to children and elders as ‘Sane Guruji’ – a devoted teacher.
The instituition organizes a get together on his birth anniversary every year for children in the surrounding villages to inhibit and inculcate moral values in them through story-telling.  It was organized on 25 Dec this year.
Mr Hemant Barve, an actor and play back singer, Mr Abhijeet Rane, Miss Pallavi Ketkar, all from Mumbai were invited on the occasion.Besides, Mr Laxman Thakkarwad, member, Z.P. Nanded, Mr Rajesh Kulkarni, AGM, SBH and Mr Chandrashekar Kulkarni,  Manager, SBH Biloli were among the other invitees.  According to Mr Barve, “Values are not sold but imbibed on children’s mind unknowingly through elders'  behavior.  A truely learned person always  discriminates between the good and evil around him/her.  A mother always imbibes good values. Sane Guruji had a great impact of his mother on his character and personality.  So a mother is the true source of such moral values.

A number of students took part in  story telling on the occasion.  The programme was  sponsored by SBH and Mr Thakkarwad.  Approximately four thousand pupils from different schools in the surrounding attended the programme.

Meenakshi Gaikwad selected for National Levels:

Although originating from the rural place like Sagroli, Meenakshi proved successful and made her own identity with hardwork and perseverance.
Meenakshi was a bit upset when she missed the opportunity to participate in the National competition at Patiyala, Punjab, with little difference of 7 seconds. But her timing to cover 1500 mts within 05.08 seconds gave her opportunity to participate in the Inter university Athletics competitions at Nasik.  There she recorded a fine timing of 5 min to cover 1500 mts distance, securing her participation in the All India University Atheletics Competition.
